Reflection 1:
Using the appropriate assessment tools is very important. In a way that you
have to relate your assessment tool to your objectives. So in order to achieve
your goal, proper usage of such tool is very important in this way you would
know if the objectives had been achieved. So at the end of the lesson, as a
teacher I would like to know whether or not the objectives has been realized.
For this it would allow me to measure whether they had really understood the
lesson. So in measuring their thinking skills I will use assessment tools such
as : quizzes, oral reports, written reports, portfolio and so much more. So in
this case if I want to measure their communication skills I will let them have
an oral report rather than giving them a written report. In this case, I can
clearly give them a feedback. So using proper and appropriate tools will let me
, as a teacher, easy to evaluate such task and for the students it would be
clearly defined to them what has been assessed, it would clearly emphasize to
them what to do in order to get a higher mark. And also it will enable them to
develop the right skills upon giving the right assessment tools.
